
Guitar artist and educator, Erika Czakó is a master teacher of classical guitar at the Nyíregyháza Secondary School of Arts, where she also serves as Head of the Music Department. She is a faculty member at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
She is the founder of the East Hungarian Guitar Competition and the National Youth Guitar Competition (GIVE), and regularly gives masterclasses while serving as a jury member at both national and international competitions. Her students consistently achieve outstanding results, winning numerous prestigious awards. Her excellence in teaching and artistic work has been recognized with multiple professional honors.
Her professional and public activities are primarily dedicated to supporting and advancing music education. She is widely known for her methodological precision, her high level of musical and technical expertise, and her commitment to nurturing young talents.
She has been actively involved in directing guitar ensembles for many years and has been the leader of the Guitar Orchestra of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music for eight years. The ensemble’s work focuses on presenting contemporary Hungarian compositions and promoting repertoire written for guitar orchestra.
