Educational activities are taking place in cooperation with the Július Kowalski Primary music school and ALBRECHT FORUM, o.z.
The phenomenal Spanish guitarist RAFAEL AGUIRRE is enjoying great success on stages around the world as a sought-after performer of Spanish music. The format of the solo guitar recital is truly his forte, and in addition to works by classical composers, he will also perform music by the world-renowned Paco de Lucía.

CHAMBER GUITAR MUSIC from Central Europe has always had a place and a purpose at the festival. Its presentation by today’s leading ensembles proves that the world of classical guitar would struggle to exist without chamber music.

A commemoration of two anniversaries of the Bratislava composer and guitarist J. K. MERTZ, performed by the most qualified artists. Smits, Steidl, and Poláčková have dedicated their artistic lives to Mertz’s music. This evening will be a tribute to the Romantic composer, whose work is loved by the entire guitar world, thanks in part to them.

Two figures whose artistry has been associated with the festival since its inception - composer Leo BROUWER and guitarist Costas COTSIOLIS. There is no better interpreter of the enchanting world of Brouwer’s music than Cotsiolis, who will be joined by the BRATISLAVA GUITAR QUARTET.
