Blanka Ondrejčáková studied violin at conservatories in Košice and Bratislava. After graduating, she continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik “Carl Maria von Weber” in Dresden, where, in addition to her violin studies, she focused on playing in a string quartet and improvisation. She was a scholarship recipient of the Most - Brücke Stiftung and the DAAD Foundation. After her studies in Dresden, she expanded her musical education to include improvisation at the Hochschule für Musik “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig, where, after completing her improvisation studies, she focused on historically informed performance on the Baroque violin. She has completed several international performance courses under the guidance of John Holloway, Amandine Beyer, Petr Zajíček, and others.
She currently performs primarily with Baroque ensembles such as Solamente naturali (Slovakia), Capella Fidicina (Germany), Damian Ensemble (Czech Republic), Convectus Quator (Czech Republic), Melopoetica (Slovakia, Portugal), Le Jardin des Artes (Germany, Hungary), and the Märksch Barock Orchestra (Germany), as well as in chamber ensembles with Vladimír Ondrejčák, Bernadette Meszaros, Barbara Baross, and others.
Blanka Ondrejčáková plays a replica of a Baroque violin made in 2008 by luthier Juraj Vančík, as well as a replica of a Baroque viola from the workshop of Polish luthier Jan Pawlikowski, dating from 2004.
She has taught at various levels (the State Conservatory in Košice, the Church Conservatory in Bratislava, and the Faculty of Education at Comenius University in Bratislava). She currently teaches at the St. Cecilia Elementary School of Arts in Bratislava.
